One of the main objectives of BIOIB is to weave collaboration networks, both internal (between partners) and external (regional, national and international). Through these networks our members have the opportunity to meet potential partners and new business opportunities, as well as to participate in fairs, conferences and various sectoral events organized by them.
The Bio-region is an initiative led by the Cluster of Biotechnology and Biomedicine of the Balearic Islands with the aim of promoting the competitiveness and development of the biotechnological and biomedical sector at regional level.
BIOIB is part of several national associations related to the bioeconomy, in addition to maintaining a network of contacts that integrates clusters, associations and research centers.
BIOIB was born with a global vision, following the guidelines of the “White Paper on The Emerging of World Class Clusters”, and promotes the internationalization of the sector and the creation of synergies worldwide with other clusters, research centers, networks and platforms.
BIOIB is recognized with the label «Silver Seal of Excellence in the management of clusters», being the first in the Balearic Islands and the third in Spain to receive this accreditation. It currently has the bronze seal in force with the intention of obtaining the silver label again.
BIOIB, the biotechnological and biomedical cluster of the Balearic Islands, is the meeting place and dialogue of all agents related to the bioeconomy.
