With over 10 years of international experience in the biomedical field, Dr. Zara is an accomplished leader with a solid background in Biotechnology and Advanced Medical Technology. Her strategic and business-oriented approach aims to contribute to sustainability and excellence in healthcare.

Zara stands out as a proactive, energetic, and positive individual. Possessing exceptional leadership skills, she is known for inspiring and uniting teams, motivating them towards achieving goals. Her entrepreneurial mindset, global vision, coupled with analytical abilities and structured thinking, have positioned her as a key figure at the intersection of research, science, healthcare systems, and the market.

Having spent more than 16 years abroad her hometown holding mostly scientific roles. Her recent experience includes significant positions at the European Institute of Innovation and Technology in Health (EIT Health), where she served as the Deputy Manager Director of the Nordic countries’ office and led the international team of European partnership managers.

Since May 2023, Zara has been leading the Biotechnology and Biomedicine cluster of the Balearic Islands (BIOIB) in Mallorca. Under her leadership, there has been a 17% increase in membership, fostering collaboration, project creation, and unity. Noteworthy are the advanced negotiations with private healthcare entities on the islands to become part of BIOIB. Additionally, she has established relationships with Spanish clusters and is actively involved in working groups of the Council of European Bioregions. Her commitment, responsibility, and ethical approach are evident in her ability to moderate, negotiate, and cultivate relationships with clients, partners, and governmental institutions.
